Cinematographic film takes you back to the origin story of the visionary that was Omer Vander Ghinste.
The campaign film deep dives into the origin story of “Omer Vander Ghinste I”, the Belgian brewer who in 1892 gave name to the beer that since then became quite legendary. Omer I was not only a passionate brewer, but also rolled up his sleeves creatively. In order to promote his beloved beer in an original way, he created artisanal stained glass windows in which he incorporated the self-designed logo of “Beers Omer Vander Ghinste”.
He donated those artisan stained glass windows to the pubs that bought his beers. A unique facade advert that was not only ahead of its time, but also sustainable. After all, replacing the authentic stained glass windows was very expensive, which meant that they could not be replaced with every generational change in the Vander Ghinste family. Omer I came up with a creative solution: from now on every firstborn son would be called 'Omer'. The tradition continues today, five generations later.
